Activity
- Introduce each pictured person’s job explicitly.
- Give each child one counter.
- Say a job word and pause.
- Children point to the person, place their counter in the oval below and say the word.
- Remove the counter between turns, then try naming and pointing with a partner.
Learning Goal: Recognise three spoken job words and connect them with familiar illustrated characters.
Teacher’s Insight: Introduce the roles before listening practice. Clothing and equipment provide visual support, but children should not have to infer an unfamiliar job independently.
