My Week in Pictures

A drawing and speaking worksheet for young learners using Super Minds Level 1. Children choose three days, draw activities and describe a real or imaginary weekly routine. Picture prompts and teacher support help learners participate without independent reading or writing.

Target Vocabulary
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; play football, ride my bike, go swimming.

Target Language
“I play football on Tuesdays.”
“I ride my bike on Fridays.”
“I go swimming on Sundays.”

Activity

  • Review the three activity pictures and name the days together.
  • Choose any three day boxes.
  • Draw one activity from the picture bank in each chosen box. Activities may repeat.
  • Describe each drawing using “I … on …”.
  • Take turns speaking while a partner points to the matching day and drawing.

Learning Goal
Connect familiar activities with days of the week and describe a weekly routine using supported first-person sentences.

Teacher’s Insight
Leave the four unselected boxes empty. They represent days not chosen for this task, rather than days when the child does nothing. Assess the connection between the drawing and spoken sentence, rather than drawing quality.
