My Robot Studio

A creative drawing and speaking worksheet for young learners using Super Minds Second Edition Level 1. Children invent a robot, choose its abilities and give it a voice using “I can” and “I can’t”. Includes a separate English teacher guide with speaking models and supported alternatives.

Target Vocabulary
touch my toes, stand on one leg, skip

Target Language
I can / I can’t touch my toes.
I can / I can’t stand on one leg.
I can / I can’t skip.

Activity

  • Review the three action pictures with teacher support.
  • Choose whether an imaginary robot can do each action.
  • Circle I can or I can’t beside each picture.
  • Draw the robot in the large box, showing one chosen ability if possible.
  • Speak as the robot and say three sentences.
  • A partner listens and points to the matching pictures and choices.

Learning Goal
Make creative choices and describe an imaginary character’s abilities through first-person role-play.

Teacher’s Insight
The marked choices define the robot’s abilities; its appearance does not provide a fixed answer key. Accept simple drawings and check that each spoken sentence matches the learner’s choices. Independent reading, written labels and physical demonstrations are not required.
