Build a Listening Classroom

A hands-on listening and speaking worksheet for Super Minds Second Edition Level 2 learners. Children select picture cards to build a classroom collection that matches a spoken description. Includes six watercolour cards, a placement frame and an English teacher guide.

Target Vocabulary
clock, clocks, crayon, crayons, board, cupboard

Target Language
There’s a clock / crayon / board / cupboard.
There are some clocks / crayons.

Activity

  • An adult cuts out the six cards, keeping the classroom frame intact.
  • Mix the cards and keep them visible.
  • Listen to three sentences and place the matching cards inside the frame.
  • Point to each selected card and describe it.
  • Return all cards outside the frame and repeat with the second listening round.
  • Try a partner-led description using the same cards.

Learning Goal
Understand classroom descriptions and distinguish singular objects from plural groups when selecting pictures.

Teacher’s Insight
Each plural group is one card. Card positions inside the frame are free; the task checks object selection and singular/plural meaning, not location language.
