Are there any potatoes?
Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t any.

Activity

  • Review the foods in the three numbered boxes.
  • Listen to Dialogue A and use both answers to identify the mystery box.
  • Circle its number in answer group A.
  • Repeat for dialogues B and C.
  • Check the clues and practise the short answers.
  • For extra speaking practice, secretly choose a box and let a partner identify it through questions.

Learning Goal

Teacher’s Insight
Each first clue fits two boxes; the second clue identifies the correct one. Keep all pictures visible and model the process orally. Independent reading and sentence writing are unnecessary.
