Classroom Listen and Choose

This watercolor worksheet helps beginner young learners recognise three classroom words through supported listening and speaking. Children listen, circle one matching picture in each row and name the object. No independent reading or writing is required. Includes a separate teacher page with a listening script, an answer key and accessible alternatives.

Target Vocabulary: Pencil, book, chair.

Activity:

  • Explore: Look at the pictures and practise the object names together.
  • Listen: The teacher indicates each row and says the target word.
  • Circle: Children circle the matching picture.
  • Say: Name the chosen object with teacher support.
  • Try another way: Point or place a counter on the answer instead of circling.

Learning Goal: To connect spoken classroom words with pictures and build confidence in naming familiar objects.
