My Morning Story

A creative drawing and speaking worksheet for Super Minds Second Edition Level 2 learners. Children invent a morning, choose times for two routines and illustrate their own story. Includes watercolour prompts, two spacious drawing frames and an English teacher guide.

Target Vocabulary
get up, have breakfast; six, seven, eight, o’clock

Target Language
I get up at … o’clock.
I have breakfast at … o’clock.

Activity

  • Review the routine pictures and time choices with teacher support.
  • Circle one time for each routine.
  • Draw yourself getting up in the left frame and having breakfast in the right frame.
  • Describe your invented morning using two sentences.
  • A partner listens and points to the matching prompts and times.
  • Swap speaking and listening roles.

Learning Goal
Make creative choices and describe daily routines using first-person present-simple sentences and whole-hour times.

Teacher’s Insight
Children can invent their times without sharing their real routines. Simple sketches are enough. Check that each spoken sentence matches the selected time; independent reading and sentence writing are unnecessary.
